Metal Filters
Filter elements in stainless steel and titanium may be produced by Cold Isostatic Pressing, CIP. This process enables the production of seamless porous elements with differential wall thickness and pore sizes.
Filters produced using the CIP process become dimensionally stable, metallically strong components which can be used as self-supporting structural elements. The CIP process allows simultaneous, seamless compaction of flanges and threads, thus simplifying the mounting of cartridges and tubes in the filter apparatus. Modern CIP presses can produce smaller quantities more economically than other manufacturing technologies.
